For many people, the process of coming up with a business idea is both difficult and time consuming with a limited number of options available. There's never really a bad time to launch a business. Once you have identified a need and your idea can solve a need you are good to go.

You need to identify a problem. People pay money to satisfy their needs and desires, by identifying a problem and creating a solution for it you have found a business idea. This is value in exchange for money, you solve a problem with your product or service and get paid money for it. The bigger the problem you solve, the bigger the money you will make. Let's look at a few examples of people who solve problems with their ideas and have their businesses doing well

Elon Musk: Elon musk discovered that making payment online was a major challenge for people, so he created "PayPal" as a means of transaction for people. That's a global solution to a global problem. It's no wonder he is the Richest Man.

Another example is Aliko Dangote, he is the richest man in Africa because he is selling solutions to people's problems with his product. A day doesn't pass by without a Nigerian using his product.

Having a successful business is easy, so long as you are willing to serve humanity by selling something or rendering a service that solves a problem.

Identify things you are good at

List things you like to do that you are good at. It's okay to write down whatever comes to mind, it doesn't necessarily have to make sense. When you are done, take a look at it and see if some products or services can help make your life better, what product or service would make your life easier, make you more productive and efficient, etc.

Inspiration:

Inspiration can come at any time, at anyplace. It doesn't necessarily have to be during your quiet time or when you are most expectant. They can pop up at any time, just ensure you make the best use of those moments.

Let go of originality

So many businesses are already in existence, a countless number of them, so it is very likely you won't be the first person with that idea. Don't waste your time looking and thinking of something entirely different, when you can focus on how to be unique in that area when you can think of how to do things better than it's being done. Don't believe the saying that an idea isn't a good one because there is competition, if it is a good idea there will either be competition already or there will soon be.

Don't wait till it's perfect

Don't be a perfectionist, don't wait till it's perfect, you could waste months perfecting the idea when you could be gaining experience with it already. Oftentimes the biggest barrier to success is the fear of taking that first step.

Not all businesses are successful on the first trial, but with each trial comes experience and lessons to be learned. It doesn't always have to be about money or success, you could venture into a business simply for the experience, to learn lessons for future purposes.
